I am back and we just had a great show yesterday. I am hoping, with my gabbing, that 5 new members might join us for our November 20th meeting.

Speaking of our meetings, would you like to come to one? See what we do. Come and visit with us?!?! Like I said, our next meeting is the 20th of November. Not sure right now about December. Usually we dress up and go to dinner. This year, we are thinking about everybody bringing something to eat and having a dinner and meeting at World Headquarters. We will not know about this though until Novembers meeting.

Our meetings are held in the cafeteria, entrance of the north side of of Ford World Headquarters, Every third Tuesday of the month. At these meetings we have clinics, show and tell and voting on us traveling to shows. On average we take our module, around Michigan, about five times. We play with our trains and speak to kids and adults about the fun we have. If you have any questions email Edwina or Lenard Pittaway at epittaway27@email.com.

On to our show yesterday at The Costic Center in Farmington Hills Michigan. This was Redfords Train O Rama and it was loads of fun!! Here are some pictures......

This is one of our Bruce's. Yes we have two of them. He is cleaning the dirty, dirty track. This makes the wheels run faster.

This is a look of Mike working on his trains. All day long He was riding my bumper. I would go faster and then I was riding his bumper!  haha
Im not sure, but I think this is Mr. Sund's train. Well at least he was running it all day with the kids. This locomotive talks and the sound of steam is there too!

This is my Dad's train, not the one I was running. He ONLY have Grand Trunk trains.

Thats it for now. Next show is Rails On Wheels, in Saline, on November 25. See you there!!!

Fox Run, Dearborn MI, June 4th & 5th, 2011

I have been given some pictures of our Fox Run show that I would like to show you. Thank you Edwina.

We love going to Fox Run as much as the people that live there having us. You can tell, mostly in the gentlemen's eyes, that they see these train and they are taken right back to their youth. You should hear some of the stories they love to tell us. Maybe it was a story about Christmas morning and the train running around the tree that Santa bough them. How about the stories of these gentlemen really working on the real trains and the crazy things they did to make them work so the trains could deliver goods. ~ Thank you everybody at Fox Run

Today I am giving you pictures of the set up. As you can see, not to many residence are out and about. I think they are having breakfast. YUM!

This is a picture of one of our several bridges. You have to love the Ford logo on it.

What happened to Thomas's town? Did a tornado come through? No.....we are just putting on the final touches to all of our trains.

This is one of our towns and it is for the HO train people.

This is Leonard Pittaway. I wonder what he is thinking of? Hope all good though.

Our next stop is at St. Sebastian in Dearborn Hts. Michigan, on September 24th 2011. I have included two different website pages of maps and directions. They do say that the church is on two different roads but I zoomed in and it is the same place.

Hope to see you all there.....Lisa

New News from Mike

I see that Mike has been a busy bee this summer. Let's see what he has done now.......

"Module I've been working on is complete and back at the Pittaways garage;
2010-09-11.02 This final photo gives a good idea of what the new "approach" yard throat looks like when it's connected to the Swan's corner module, this is the location it will be in during a layout setup. As you can see it is now back at Len's garage. Also as the photo shows, I test ran my pennsy T1 through all of the turnouts with no problems (this is the longest rigid wheel base engine I have)." -Michael Guariento

Thanks Mike for all you have done!

What's New with Mike this week.........

Mike sent me this the other day. He is coming along.

Here's what he has to say......

"All of the track is permanently down. 3 tracks on the left are the new leads into the "outer loop" staging, the track on the extreme right will become the extended "inner loop" staging siding. Now I have to wire everything together, this may take a while." -Mike Guariento

Thanks Mike and keep up the good work!

August 8th 2010

Mike has sent me another photo of the hard work he is doing on our module.

"2010-08-08.04 This is the latest progress on the module I'm working on. The two main lines have been relaid - glued and nailed down. The turnout will lead into the staging tracks for the "outside" main." Michael Guariento

I know I would personaly like to that him for all the hard work he is doing. He really is helping make out module a "gem!"
